What a great day we had at Under the Old Fish Market in Brixham on Tuesday 7th June 2022, there was so much to do from hooking ducks to hair-cuts (great joke I must say!). We started the day setting up, which on my part meant numerous trips down some steps filling up a bucket with harbour water for the hook a duck, I do wish now that we’d advertised it as ‘authentic Brixham hook a duck’. Once we had set up, it was great to speak to local people and tourists about the support available for Young Adult Carers in Torbay, as well as raising money to support with these efforts. I myself was lucky enough to run the hook a duck giving away some amazing prizes; I got my haircut which was defiantly overdue! And also had some of the most amazing cake, it was that good I thought I was a judge on bake off. Overall it was an amazing day and I hope to do something so amazing again in the future!
